A few months after the storm that crashed 42 million trees in the Dolomites, we at WOWnature were on the ground securing the land and restoring forests destroyed by wind gusts.

After several reforestation efforts, this forest is gradually taking shape again, but there is still much to be done. Planting new trees to form the forests of the future is crucial to the mountain economy and ecosystem conservation. The forestry project plans to plant larch, fir and beech trees to increase biodiversity and make the area not only more species-rich, but also more resilient to any extreme weather events.
