Forests created or improved Kotlack Forest
Why did we support this forest?
To promote a more sustainable future, the Kotlack Forest project has been launched: an initiative that combines biodiversity protection, environmental regeneration and the involvement of local communities.
History of the forest
The Kotlack Forest is located in Trodena, in the Bolzano province, within the Monte Corno Nature Park. We are in an alpine setting of extraordinary natural value, where human presence has always coexisted with environments rich in biodiversity. The area is also experiencing the impacts of climate change and the decline of traditional landscape management practices.
To address these issues and foster a more sustainable future for the mountains, the Kotlack Forest project was established —an initiative that combines biodiversity protection, environmental restoration, and local community engagement.
