Events in Alta Badia: come plant your trees

Corvara, Sept. 14, 2024. Event in the beautiful setting of Corvara dedicated to the planting of trees adopted by nature and mountain lovers. The goal is to enrich the ecosystems of the area, contributing to the growth of a lush forest in one of the most fascinating valleys of the Dolomites.

Adopt a tree in Alta Badia

Imagine hiking in the Dolomites and finding them without trees. This is a nightmare we do not want to relive. After Storm Vaia in 2018, the mountain landscape in northern Italy has changed drastically. Thousands of trees crashed to the ground, slopes weakened, a heritage lost. A few months after the disaster, we at WOWnature set out to rethink a lush and resilient land. We have planted new trees to replenish damaged forests thanks to citizens and businesses, and we want to continue to do so.

Together with Alta Badia Brand, we want to engage as many people as possible to grow Corvara’s forests. It’s easy: adopt a tree or give it to someone you love. If you want, you can come and plant it during our event on September 14, otherwise we will take care of it and send you updates on its growth.

We look forward to seeing you on September 14 in Corvara to plant your trees together while admiring the most striking landscapes of the Dolomites. Here is the program of the event:

📍11.30 a.m. Meeting and welcome

🥾 11:35 am Guided walk to the planting point. 30 minutes (1.5km with 150m positive elevation gain)

👋🏻 12 – Discover the project and learn how to plant a tree

🌱 12:15 p.m. – Plant your own trees

✋🏻 1 pm – End of the event and return to the parking lot independently
