ANCE Lombardia is the regional representative body of building contractors. It reviews, deals with and organizes issues of interest to the building sector in agreement with the Lombardy Territorial Associations, maintaining a constant relationship with the national body. As of 2020, the construction sector in Lombardy accounts for 7.2% of the regional GDP in terms of investment and 19.1% in terms of employment. There are about 94,000 operating companies, which 19% of the national total. Building is one of the most involved sectors in the implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. In fact, it is considered to have the potential to positively influence at least 9 of the 17 goals of the Agenda. Therefore, it contributes to the implementation of initiatives supporting economic, social, and environmental relations in different contexts.

By participating in the Bioclima initiative, ANCE Lombardia intends to seal the existing link between the entrepreneurial fabric and the region. It actively contributes to the improvement of Lombardy’s environmental heritage. ANCE Lombardia also believes in the importance of spreading the culture of sustainability, as well as responsibility. Planting 400 trees in 4 different parks in Lombardy (Parco Lombardo della Valle del Ticino, Parco Oglio Sud, Parco Spina Verde, and Riserva Naturale Torbiere del Sebino) represents a commitment to the environment, the territory, and the people.
