In recent years, the world of tourism has become increasingly environmentally aware, and in response, Michelangelo has intensified its commitment to a more sustainable offering by selecting eco-responsible itineraries.
We offer our corporate clients travel experiences designed with a focus on environmental impact and support of local communities and natural resources. Among our travel programs, we offer culinary experiences and tastings of excellence at small producers and regional farms or wineries for an authentic experience that supports local realities. Our activo product promotes trekking and cycling itineraries, allowing people to explore destinations on the move, in close contact with nature and away from the classic mass tourist flows.
A concrete commitment to the environment
Italy is our homeland, a destination that captivates our guests with cultural beauty, culinary excellence and breathtaking landscapes. Protecting these natural settings is our priority, to ensure that travelers of today and tomorrow can continue to be enchanted by our country’s extraordinary scenic diversity.
In this direction, Michelangelo is constantly looking for environmental protection projects in the country and has found in WOWnature an ideal partner. Starting in January 2024, we have supported the planting of new trees in the Lio Piccolo area in the Venice Lagoon, an area vulnerable to climate change, and in the Torbiere del Sebino Nature Reserve, south of Lake Iseo.
New projects for 2025
After this first step, we decided to extend our commitment, choosing two more locations where we will plant trees in 2025:
– Levico Terme, located near our headquarters in Riva del Garda, in the heart of Trentino, to enhance the area in which we operate.
– Barcelona, a city where we opened a new branch in 2024, to consolidate our commitment beyond national borders.
Our goal is to contribute concretely to the protection of the environment, promoting responsible and conscious tourism, which not only enhances local resources but also protects them for future generations.
