Why did we support this forest?
A good friend is worth their weight in gold. And what about who finds a Friendship Park? Well, the value becomes limitless! In the high plain between Padua and Vicenza, the Brenta River opens into many rivulets and the riverbed widens for hundreds of meters.
History of the forest
Between Padua and Vicenza, the Brenta River expands into a large natural area filled with streams, gravel beds, and developing woods. It is here, in the municipality of Tezze sul Brenta, that the Parco dell’Amicizia (Friendship Park) is located, a cherished green space managed with passion by the local Alpini. For years, the park has been a landmark for the community: a place to relax, play outdoor sports, or spend time with friends. As part of the larger Parco Fiume Brenta project, we have also taken care of this area, recognising its environmental and social value.

How we improved the forest
Since 2022, we have planted nearly 5,000 native trees and shrubs, further enriching the vegetation of the Parco dell’Amicizia. The goals are to improve air quality, boost biodiversity, and reinforce the banks of the Brenta to prevent erosion. This effort has strengthened the connection between nature and the people who experience this space every day. The project was carried out as part of LIFE Brenta 2030, co-funded by the European Commission.
