The forests we created and improved

Parco Albbruck

Italy
Carmignano di Brenta (PD)

Green areas are a guarantee of clean air, shade, milder temperatures, and more. Albbruck Park is a safe place for children and families to live in harmony with nature.

Green areas in city centers are a blessing. Lawns and trees give us clean air, shade, and stimulate relaxation. In the municipality of Carmignano di Brenta, a new public park has been created and calls for improvements. Albbruck Park aims to be a new educational hub for children and families who want to fully live in harmony with nature. Boys and girls will be able to learn from nature: leaves, berries, and fruits will be useful to recognize species and bring them closer to hands-on learning.

Now, the boundaries of the park and many areas within it are not yet treed. Therefore, we will plant more than 300 new trees and shrubs to increase biodiversity, climate resilience, and shade, but not only. In fact, the chosen species will make it a safe park, as they can withstand wind and storms, even in the long term. Thinking about rising temperatures and increasing drought, we have chosen trees that are better suited to the new climate. In addition, maple and holm oak are the best trees to capture air pollutants that are harmful to our health.

Adopt a tree and make sure of you’re coming to the next planting event. See you in fall 2023.
