We want to exbuscate the crashed trees so as to speed up the natural regeneration of the forest. In such a weakened area, the bark beetle has found a way to proliferate. We are also going to remove cores of trees attacked by the pest, so as to limit its spread and prevent damage to surrounding trees.
On the Asiago Highlands, we find a small town that has become sadly famous since the night of October 28, 2018. Once again, we are talking about storm Vaia, which devastated Enego’s forest heritage. Thousands of trees crashed to the ground also dashed the hopes of forest managers and local people.
