Val di Fiemme

The Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme is known around the world for having outstanding and precious forests and for its resonant spruce trees used for making musical instruments. But the stunning valleys that are home to these thriving forests, which are vital to the local mountain economy, suffered extensive damage during the Vaia storm that struck the Alps in October of 2018. In 2022, after numerous tree-planting events, this forest is slowly returning to its former glory, but there is still a lot of work to do: fallen timber has been attacked by the bark beetle, a dangerous parasite that feeds on the sap of spruce trees and is now also threatening the remaining standing trees.

Support this project and make this land, which has always been generous in welcoming skiers, hikers and visitors, shine once again: help replant the forests, which are the engine of the local economy and people.
