Have you ever wondered how a forest looks in the different stages of its life? Similarly to people, forests of different ages are all completely different to each other. Knowing this, if you can no longer sleep at night because you want to know how they look… What are you waiting for? Grab your bike and explore the trails of the Venetian coast!
Starting from San Stino di Livenza, you will encounter two very young forests, comparable to new-born babies, but for forests: the Trieste and Triestina forests. Fortunately, their habits are quite different, so they won’t cover you in drool, don’t be afraid!
After that, moving to Meolo, visit the Belvedere Forest, which is almost 20 years old: an “adolescent” – just over the “rebellious period”, so you can walk peacefully among its trees without being deafened by rock music (of course, teenage forests love loud music too!).
Finally, take a look at the Canoro Forest in San Michele al Tagliamento or Baseleghe Forest in Bibione: these two forests, that are already more than 30 years old, are no longer so young… Indeed, when they get up from the couch you can hear them saying “heave-oh!”
