Forests created or improved Viola Forest
Why did we support this forest?
Bosco Viola, with its wild animals, is a young growing forest!
History of the forest
In Concordia Sagittaria, in the heart of eastern Veneto, Bosco Viola tells a story of growth and renewal. Established in 1999 as the first reforestation project in the area, the forest has continued to grow over time, becoming a natural space essential for biodiversity and the well-being of the land. In 2017, with support from E.ON, a significant expansion was initiated, leading to the planting of 5,000 new trees, increasing the forest’s size to 6.8 hectares – about 11 football fields – and making it one of the area’s most important green spaces.

How we improved the forest
Today, Bosco Viola is a young forest that is actively growing, home to many wild animal species and filled with hundreds of native trees. It serves as an important habitat for local wildlife and offers a peaceful retreat for those who enjoy walking in nature, bird-watching, listening to the sounds of the forest, and breathing cleaner air. The forest also plays a vital environmental role: it absorbs CO₂, filters the air, helps water infiltrate the soil, and supports efforts to combat climate change.
