Reforestation event in Fiemme Valley: plant a tree with WOWnature

Join our reforestation event on September 9th in Fiemme Valley and help restore the mountains affected by storm Vaia. Discover how to participate and support this initiative to preserve the valleys and forests, vital to the local economy.

The beautiful valleys that once hosted lush forests were severely damaged during the devastating storm Vaia, which struck the entire Alpine region in October 2018.

After several reforestation events, this forest is gradually growing back. However, there is still a long way to go: the fallen timber on the ground has been infested by the bark beetle, a dangerous parasite that feeds on the dead red spruce trees and now threatens the standing ones. These trees are essential for the local mountain economy and ecosystem conservation. Therefore, active participation in this reforestation initiative becomes even more crucial to revive these precious forests and preserve their ecological and economic value. The reforestation project in this area aims to increase its biodiversity, making the territory not only richer in species but also more resilient to extreme weather events.

Would you like to take part in the implementation of this project?

You can adopt or gift a tree and come plant it with us on September 9th at 10:45 AM in the municipality of Castello-Molina di Fiemme (TN).
