June 2024 – Update from the forests of Alta Badia
During our last mission to Alta Badia, we visited the project in Campolongo, where we have been planting trees for the last three years thanks to your support. In this video, Lucio tells us about the condition of the trees we planted and the challenges we faced due to drought and bark beetles. April 2024 – Renasciüda, the rebirth of the forests in Alta Badia
“Renasciüda”, a Ladin word meaning “rebirth”, is a day for all the people and families who love this area and, like us, want to repair the terrible damage caused by Storm Vaia in 2018. It was a tragic event that destroyed entire sections of forest. The name Renasciüda represents the rebirth of Corvara, where we aim to plant 1,000 new trees together, discovering the area and having fun together.
The event is organised by Cooperativa Turistica and Alta Badia Brand, in collaboration with WOWnature, an initiative by Etifor, a spin-off of the University of Padua, which helps citizens and businesses to grow new forests and take care of existing ones.
