Cartotecnica Postumia

Grown trees 233

Cartotecnica Postumia S.p.a. is a producer of industrial paper shoppers and bags.

Almost all of the raw material we use is FSC® certified (FSC-C0105014),, meaning that it comes from forests that respect the principles of economic, social and environmental sustainability. Our view of the future fully embraces the concept of a circular economy, aimed at drastically reducing waste. We sell our production waste to local paper mills so that they can reuse it to produce new paper. It is precisely from that paper that we make our bags. A further aspect on which our company promotes equity and awareness is the social arena: a solid collaboration with local cooperatives and numerous projects involving schools in our vicinity are an integral part of our growth path.

With the aim of spreading a culture that is increasingly aware of the principles of environmental responsibility, Postumia has decided to involve its customers in this additional project, giving them the chance to adopt a tree to help protect some areas of our planet. The decision fell two areas. The Enego Forest (Italy), which, already severely damaged by Storm Vaia in 2018, is fighting a dangerous parasite that takes the sap away from spruce trees. And we support also the Huong Son Forest (Vietnam), a landmark in the fight against the climate crisis and support for local communities. WOWnature’s initiative truly reflects Postumia’s values and is a perfect fit with the sustainability path undertaken by the company.
