“Renasciüda” – the regeneration of the forest in Alta Badia

On Sunday, 16 June, we are waiting for you in Corvara, in the province of Bolzano, to take part in the creation of a new forest. From 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., we will plant new trees in order to take care of the beautiful forests of Alta Badia and make our contribution to combating the climate crisis. The event is organised by the Tourist Cooperative and Alta Badia Brand, in collaboration with WOWnature, the initiative of Etifor, a spin-off of the University of Padua, which helps citizens and companies to grow new forests and take care of existing ones.

“Renasciüda”, a Ladin word meaning rebirth, is a day for all people and families who love this area and, like us, wish to restore the terrible scars inflicted in 2018 by storm Vaia. A tragic event, which razed whole sections of forest to the ground. The name Renasciüda represents precisely this rebirth in Corvara, where we aim to plant 1,000 new trees together, discovering the area and having fun together.
