Event “Into The WOW – Explore and protect Canneto sull’Oglio” October 21 2023

Canneto sull’Oglio is a location of extraordinary importance for biodiversity, recognized as a Special Area of Conservation (SAC “Lanche di Gerra Gavazzi e Runate”), part of the Oglio Sud Regional Park. The characteristic oxbow lakes, tongues of land carved by the river, are home to a diverse flora and fauna, creating a unique mosaic of habitats. WOWnature is helping to implement a forest protection project to preserve the forest and make it more resilient, and conserve wetlands for amphibian breeding by improving the biodiversity of the area.

Experience and incredible adventure in nature!

Find friends or family members and form a team (3 to 6 people) and try to win amazing group challenges. There will be many challenges to overcome and they will only be revealed on the day of the event.

• – 9:30am:Registration of participants and teams.
• – 10am: Greetings from local authorities, presentation of the program, and of the teams.
• – 10:30am: Walk with the forestry expert to discover the WOWnature project in Canneto sull’Oglio.
• – 11:30am: Start of the challenges
• – 1:30pm: Lunch (bring it from home) and tasting of local products by Il Campagnino farmhouse. Write us at info@wownature.eu if you would like to report food intolerances or special needs.
• – 2:30 p.m.: Closing and awards ceremony for the winning teams.

To join Into The WOW and participate in this extraordinary day, we ask you to support a forest protection project that WOWnature is doing in one of the forest areas found here: https://www.wownature.eu/en/protect-a-forest/   Purchase a “BASE” protection package in the forest area of your choice. At Into The WOW, the basic package is discounted to €15 for those who register for the day, using the discount code WOW-INTO during purchase.   Teams can consist of 3 to 6 people. NB: Children under 14 can participate free of charge.
