Bosco della Molina

Italy
Carmignano di Brenta (PD)

In a few years Bosco della Molina, which was planted in 2018, will become a true “green barrier” in defense of Carmignano’s citizens.

Just how many good things can a forest do? If you have never thought about it, take for example the new Bosco della Molina in Carmignano di Brenta, which was planted as recently as 2018 and is already promising great things! For starters, in a few years the forest will become a true “green barrier” in defense of Carmignano’s citizens. Trees species have been specially selected having leaves specialized in capturing pollutants produced by cars on the nearby street.

When the foliage will be thick enough, not even the rumbling of cars will be bothersome anymore: finally, some peace in the town center! And when blooming time comes, the bees will be happy to feast, much to the delight of the boys and girls of Italian non-profit organization PomoDoro, who will experience the joy of beekeeping. And since learning is never ending, educational events (such as plant identification workshops) or recreational events (such as lively country festivals) can be organized there as well. Not to mention the shade it will provide to cyclists taking a break, on a hot summer day, while riding along the Munich-Venice cycling route.

Not bad, right? This forest is part of Associazione Forestale di Pianura (Lowland Forest Association).
