Updates from Val di Fiemme | May 2025

In Val di Fiemme, in the mountains of Trentino, we continue our efforts to reforest the wood affected by storm Vaia and now affected by the bark beetle. Last Saturday we were back in the area of Castello della Molina (TN), with over 100 people we planted more than 200 new trees.

A forest that is reborn

These interventions arise from the need to accelerate the restoration of the forest. After the damage suffered, nature has difficulty regenerating itself, so we intervene by planting new trees, carefully choosing the most suitable species.
Spruce and larch remain important for the local economy – here, wood is a resource and a tradition – but we place them alongside plants such as sycamore maple, birch, ash and rowan. Together, these species will make the forest richer, more diverse and able to withstand extreme weather events.

Monitoring continues

During the day, we also checked the trees planted last year and are happy to see that they are doing well and growing regularly. Thanks to the constant monitoring, carried out together with the local forest managers, we can follow them step by step and intervene if necessary.

A project built together

All this is possible thanks to the support of those who have chosen to adopt a tree in Val di Fiemme. Citizens and companies decided to support the project with enthusiasm, and during the day they were at our side, planting hundreds of trees and making a concrete contribution to the rebirth of these woods.

Do you also want to be part of this rebirth?
The project in Val di Fiemme continues. We will return to plant new trees to revive the affected forests and support the local community, which has always been linked to this land and its natural heritage. Would you like to be part of it too? Adopt or donate a tree, see you in next season to plant it together.
